Dolphins Trade For Isaiah Wilson

If you’ve read any of my blogs you know that they’re a lot like going through four years of college. You struggle through it and ask yourself why the fuck you did it afterwards. Im here to tell you that this one is no different so continue at your own risk.

After any of my favorite teams make a trade or signing my mind goes through three simple braindead steps:

  1. This is fucking awesome
  2. But what if its not
  3. Stop thinking so hard you troglodyte, its a good trade

Lets break down this low risk/high reward signing though the lens of idiotic brain:

1. This is fucking awesome/Wilson HOFer

My mind always over reacts and assumes the best with every trade/signing. I thought Matt Breida and Jordan Howard were gonna be the most feared RB duo in the NFL when they first acquired the duo, fast forward less than a year and Howard is gone and Breida is backing up some dude named Salvon Ahmed. In this trade my immediate reaction is “holy shit, Wilson is gonna be a top tackle in the NFL. We can now refocus our draft pick to trading back and getting one of the best WR’s in the draft.” After that I put on my skeptic hat and take a step back.

2. But what if its not/Doomsday Scenario

After I put my skeptic hat on, I go one to over correct my optimism by creating the worst scenario possible. Imagine this, Wilson says he’s excited to get back to work and dedicates himself to being the monster he was in college. The Dolphins say they’re happy with Wilson and decide to move forward with him. The Dolphins feel comfortable enough to trade back from the Sewell sweepstakes and draft a Jaylen Waddle. Midway through training camp, Wilson decides he fucking hates Flores, Football, Miami, Tua and he stops showing up. I imagine spleen boy talking about how Tua will never be a good QB and Burrow having the best OL in the NFL. Sewell looks like a monster. This is where everyone on Twitter tells me to calm down and I enter my final phase of thinking.

3. Its Not That Serious, Its A Great Trade

At the end of the day, this trade does not stop the Dolphins from drafting Sewell. This trade is exactly what everyone’s calling it. Its an extremely low risk, extremely high reward trade. If Wilson commits to football and gets back into UGA Wilson form and the Dolphins go for Sewell then you could end up with one of the best offensive line in football.

Now go ahead and watch this highlight tape of an offensive lineman (the equivalent of watching dry humping porn) and sell yourself on the idea of Wilson becoming a top 5 tackle like I’m going to do.
