A Round of Applause For Pablo Lopez

Yesterday Pablo Lopez put up one of the best performances of his young career under some of the most difficult circumstances he’ll ever endure. Losing his father a month ago. Having 18 of his teammates placed on the IL with another opting out of the season. Having to spend a week quarantined with nothing but his thoughts. A week from hell for any athlete.

Pablo came out as 1 of only 2 healthy remaining starting pitchers and absolutely mopped the floor with the Orioles. Being asked to come out and give a performance that would reinvigorate a fan base that has been pissed (mostly talking about me) about all the accusations being made about the team. (Fuck Bob Nightengale). Under all those circumstances, he thrived. Stuck out 7 over 5 innings with only 2 hits and no runs. Tying his career high in strikeouts with only 61 pitches.

I think I speak for the rest of the fan base when I say, Thank you Pablo, for the incredible strength and resilience you’ve shown in your career and how you displayed you excellence last night. Not only is your father proud of you, but this fan base is extremely proud of you as well. Among all the chaos of this season, Pablo re sparked the hope of every Marlins fan.

ON TOP OF ALL THAT WERE FUCKING 3-1 AT THE TOP OF THE DIVISION. BOTTOM FEEDERS MY ASS. LETS FUCKING GO.
