For those of you who may not know who Jazz Chisholm is, allow me to introduce you. Jazz is one of the swaggiest players in all of baseball. All levels. He was acquired by the Marlins at the deadline last year for Zac Gallen last year. Jazz could never step foot on a baseball field and still be on of the most swaggy players in baseball. The only other player that puts up competition for that title happens to be on the same team and that Monte Harrison. (Monte if you happen to read this you’re a GOAT and you’re just as fresh as Jazz)
There’s so much to be excited for when it comes to Jazz. The dude hits absolute tanks. Shots that you don’t see from some of the bigger guys in baseball. He’s one of the smoothest defending infielders in the entire organization besides Nasim Nunez. He’s got the smile of a superstar and hes a Naruto fan. When I met him at spring training pre Covid, he was one of the most kind athletes I had ever had the pleasure of speaking with. I’m about to post my favorite clips from Jazz’s twitter dump he did from his journey through the minors. We’ll start with the hops this guy has. If the MLB ever has a dunk competition, it will have to feature Jazz Chisholm. (Yes I know that Monte and Sterling Sharp are excellent dunkers but this isn’t about them right now.)
The following is an example of his beautiful, flawless glove work at one of the hardest infield positions.
This one is a personal favorite because the thought of Isan and Jazz turning two to win the 2023 World Series reeeeeaaaalllllyyyy makes it move.
Now for the part that everyone really wants to see. One of the most entertaining parts of baseball, the power. This first one went 481 ft. FOUR HUNDRED EIGHTY ONE.
While were here, I’ll throw in one of my favorite videos that wasn’t included in his thread.
To all my Heat and Dolphins fans who don’t give the Marlins much attention. I urge you to follow the career of this young man and the others they acquired over time. Jazz is a great guy who’s gonna be loved by everyone in this city. Someday soon he’ll be playing everyday at Marlins park and it’ll mark the beginning of something special.
